The Angle(s): The Winnipeg Jets roll into St. Louis with the Connor Hellebuyck saga hanging over the locker room, and his suspension ending Friday only adds to the noise. Stuart Skinner has held the fort, but backup Clay Stevenson has struggled badly, and the Jets are coming off a home loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
The St. Louis Blues return home to open a five-game homestand and have been reliable in this role, winning seven of their last nine games as home favorites. Their top-10 penalty kill also matches up well against a Winnipeg power play that has carried its offense. I’ll take the home team while the Jets’ off-ice distraction peaks.
