The Angle(s): The Vancouver Canucks’ defense has completely unraveled during a 10-game winless skid, allowing 44 goals over that stretch, or 4.4 per game. They’ve been finding the net at a decent clip though, and they now face an Anaheim Ducks team that won five of its first six games by scoring three or more goals.
Anaheim has issues of its own in the crease, with Lukas Dostal posting a rough save % and the Ducks as a team allowing 3.5 goals per game. The Ducks also return home from a five-game road trip after a 5-4 win in Philadelphia. With two shaky goaltending situations and two teams giving up chances in bunches, I expect a back-and-forth game that clears this number.
