Two teams vying to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff picture clash on Wednesday, when the New York Knicks host the Milwaukee Bucks. Tip-off is at 7:30 PM ET at Madison Square Garden. Read all about it in this Bucks vs. Knicks Betting Preview.
The Bucks have been powered by small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and power forward Jabari Parker. Their recent ascents have contributed to the team’s second-place league ranking in field goal percentage.
On the other side of the court, the Bucks are eighth in points allowed, and their +84 points differential is also eighth-best in the league. As far as potential goes, few teams have a higher upside than the Bucks right now with one of the more talented teams in the league.
The Knicks come into this game mired in their worst slump of the season. They lost at home to the Orlando Magic as a 4-point favorite on Monday, extending their losing streak to five straight games and they’ve lost eight of their last 10 contests after a 14-10 start to the season. Their defense has held them back as they’re just 25th in the NBA for points allowed at 108.5 points per game.
New York forward Kristaps Porzingis has missed the last two games with an Achilles injury and is considered day-to-day, but point guard Derrick Rose is averaging 21.9 points in seven games since returning from a back injury.
This is the first matchup of the regular season between the Knicks and the Bucks. Milwaukee is 3-2 SU in their last five meetings with the Knicks, who’ve covered the spread in three of those games. The Bucks’ last five trips to New York has generated the same 3-2 SU record, but the Knicks are a solid 11-6 at home this season and Milwaukee is just 2-7 ATS in its last nine road games against a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
Under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings at Madison Square Garden but the over is 4-1 in Knicks’ last five home games overall.
