The Washington Nationals have lost three in a row following an 8-2 loss to the New York Mets in Thursday’s home opener.
I like the Nats to bounce back here with Gio Gonzalez (1-0, 1.50 ERA) on the mound. The left-hander was sharp in his first outing of the season, holding Cincinnati to one run on five hits and a walk with seven Ks through six innings of the 6-5 triumph. Gonzalez is 14-5 with a 2.93 ERA in 23 career starts against NYM, including 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA last season. Mets are 3-13 in their last 16 games vs. a left-handed starter.
The Mets turn to Steven Matz (0-1, 6.75 ERA) who is 1-2 with a 2.17 ERA in four career starts against the Nationals, but he has struggled with health issues in recent season and gave up three runs on four hits (two homers) with three walks in just four innings in his season debut against St. Louis.
Free pick on Washington Nationals.
Mike Lundin was PERFECT 3-0 ALL PREMIUM PICKS last night, and he’s going for the BIG BUCKS on Saturday with a 3-PACK OF MLB WINNERS (8-3 MLB L5 DAYS) and his MASSIVE NBA GAME OF THE WEEK (+$18,000 NBA RUN).
