The 26 year old southpaw has a great 38/6 K/BB ratio through 34 2/3 innings of work on the season and will face Detroit for the first time in his career.
The Tigers turn to Matthew Boyd (1-3, 3.00 ERA) who lost his last outing Sunday, giving up four runs and six hits in seven innings against Kansas City.
